Many people get engaged and then break it off. Many people get married and then break it off. I don't really know what the purpose of doing that really means anymore. I've been with my boyfriend for 7-8 years, and that is a very long time for somebody as young as we are. Even so, we never got engaged... because it doesn't seem like it matters if you don't get married at least within two years after. Also, a ton of swedish people aren't christians, so we don't really try to bond with each other in front of God. So marriage isn't something sacred either.
Somehow, I still want it to be a ceremony with deep meaning. So maybe... you should get married in another country? By... some very spiritual tribe or just make it into something of your own. I want to get married in the nature, and it doesn't really have to cost much. I would love to do it in another country though... and then have a marriage-party at home with our family and friends at home.
Well, it's far from now. We'll see how it turns out...
