There's an unnamed style in JRPG's and Mangas/Animes. At least it should have a name. It is like a mixture of exotic tribal fantasy and elemental schamanism... you know what I mean.
Look at the picture above. It is Kid from the JRPG Chrono Cross. Look at the colours, the tattoos, the necklace, and most of all, the yellow pattern of her bolero's lining. That pattern is one of the mainkeys to this style.
Let's move on to some more examples.

| The colours, the fringes, the shoes, the show of skin! |
As you can clearly see, they do have some similarities even though they differ a lot from each other.
Also, this style shows a lot of skin, because the character most often lives in a warmer climat.
Darker skin and light hair and light eyes are very commonly used. The character can also have animalears or a tail quite often.

| Tubelike hairpieces are also common, and just look at that print. |
It is the same principle, but you can make it your own depending on what kind of hairaccessory which is creating those sidebangs.
These characters are from the same tribe. You can see how they are based on the exact same principle, but the artist designed a personal take for each character, so it would fit their personality.
The upper character is more childlike and innocent. Her short hair, short skirt and long (almost too-big-looking) cloak shows that.
Though the character here is a mature and wise woman. Therefor the long hair, and the long flowing cloak.
Chrono Cross again. I think you can see what I am talking about by now. Maybe it was obvious to you from the very beginning. It depends...
