 Hej!

I am going to go through some clothing styles I am drawn to. I never limit myself by only buying clothes of one particular style, but somehow the clothes I am drawn to all can be categorized by these styles I am going to tell you about.

Mori-Girl

This styles inspiration comes from mostly Scandinavian antique fashions, and also have a mixture of fantasy essences. The idea of this style is what a girl in the forest would wear. The style comes from Japan, and the japanese styles are known for their over-the-top prints and new ideas for mixtures which we Europeans might consider weird, too much or even tasteless. I love their eye and guts for styles though, and their unfamiliarity makes them able to look for inspiration where we Europeans might overlook - such as simple as an old Mora-clock, an antique book-cover or something as extravagant as our nobel emblems or folk dresses.

Grimoire

The inspiration for this style comes from European Renaissance most of all, and have, just like the Mori style, a lot of Scandinavian influences. It is an explotion of prints and may come of as too bussy for most people. I think their unfamiliarity with the European fashion and their background of japanese prints makes them have a good eye for new ideas. Their different ways to put together and mix the pieces is an approach which we Europeans might not even have considered or dared to make. That is why I love this so much. It is like an explotion of European essences.
